I gave this board top ratings because any quibbles I have are personal. I'm a writer, so needless to say, I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to keyboards.

The only thing keeping me from giving the keyboard 5 stars is the 'feel' of the keys. I prefer the feel of taller keys...this one feels more like the one on my laptop.

Best keyboard I've ever owned, love both the customizability of keyboard along with the preset keys. perfect

I love this keyboard and all the functions it can perform. I love that the keys are super quiet when you type. Honestly, overall I think this keyboard is best.

This is the second keyboard I bought. One for home and one for work. Love the light touch keys. The price is great! Learning to use the extra help keys that are on the board. Also like the calculator key!

These programmed keys are the best! I just needed a basic keyboard to attach to a laptop and got this one because of the low price. Turns out these special keys are a convenient surprise. I love pushing a button and getting right to the web or email. Usual Microsoft quality too.

Pros: keys are low profile and are pretty quiet in my opinion compared to some keyboards. The 5 programmable keys are pretty nice. I use them often.
Cons: Media keys do not work properly for me in Winamp like they originally did even after having installed most recent updates to the drivers. I find myself fumbling with the function keys often as they are not grouped. I Have an issue with some lag between the keyboard volume control and the computer.

Pretty old model. I'm sure you can find something way better for the same or close to the same price.

Pros: Lots of extra buttons, easy customization of keys, looks nice.
Cons: Flimsy and easily breakable, game mode doesn't work as it should, F keys are not grouped into fours.
Lots of extra buttons, easy customization of keys, looks nice. Flimsy and easily breakable, game mode doesn't work as it should, F keys are not grouped into fours. I'm moderately pleased with this keyboard, but one thing I'm sure of is that it isn't worth the price I paid for it. Within two weeks one of the kick stands broke off the underside of it. The whole thing has a cheap feeling to it: you can hear the plastic creak when you put your hands on it!
The software is good in some regards, but as I gamer I found it disappointing. While it's easy to customize the extra buttons using the included software, the keyboard's "game mode" didn't work for me at all. (Game mode is supposed to disable extra buttons while in a game) Some of the buttons caused issues in a game I was playing, so I set the keyboard to disable all extra keys while in that game. Lo and behold, those keys are still active while playing the game and continue to cause problems. It would have been better not to include a feature like that if it does nothing.
I would have expected much more out of a keyboard in this price range.

fairly quiet typing not silent the keyboard itself doesnt have a place to put the usb when not being used. seems like a decent probability that you will lose the usb

Pros: great keyboard. the 5 silver buttons on the top can be programed to do ANYTHING. i have webpages, programs, and folders set on mine. the function lock button is also nice.
Cons: i have had the keyboard for less than 3 months and one of the little tilting stand things on the back broke, now it doesn't tilt anymore. i can barely type on it now. the zoom thing on the left is just a slide, not a knob as it looks. it moves the whole board if i don't hold it. the volume buttons are slow to respond

Pros: It's a keyboard, pretty standard, but it's also aesthetically pleasing and inexpensive. A lot of the function keys worked without having to be programmed, which was great.
Cons: The F1-12 keys are not labeled as such (the keys have white print-screened icons on them, and the F1-12 labels are in a less legible blue underneath). Minor annoyance.

Pros: If you like quiet keys, flat layout, and short depth, this keyboard is for you. The media keys are great, and so are the microsoft based keys (the top row function keys on the F-keys). No problems with it at all.

Pros: The price for the OEM combo is a descent price. The red headlight USB mouse is a classic and works perfectly.
Cons: The keyboard. I ordered two of these OEM kits. This is the first time I have booted up XP with a new keyboard and had it unable to install a driver that would work. Even the MS-update driver site was unable to supply a working driver. Maybe they work better under Vista. On one new Gigab_te MB system, even after using the out-dated installation disk that came with the keyboard, the system was still unable to properly install a driver, or make use of it. Even a modern BIOS had trouble detecting this piece of junk. I had to make a trip back to my office to pick up a conventional PS/2 keyboard to get my customer up and running. MS makes matters worse by wrapping their drivers inside of an executable or DLL file. If they had a folder with just the raw drivers in it I probably could have got it to work. Its hard to logon or get on the I-net without a working keyboard.

    Pros: Lots of extras
    Cons: Durability, ease of key-strike
Have had this keyboard for less than a year & ready for the trash bin!!! Bought it because it was described as "soft touch" - not for the "bells & whistles" of extra keys though they are convenient. At first, it did indeed seem to be a soft touch keyboard, but after a cpuple of months, some keys started getting a "stiff" feeling & now there are several keys that take more than one strike to actually work & some that stick. The price has come down, I paid at least $10 more for it than listed now. For what I paid, I am COMPLETELY dissatisfied. I won't waste my money on another MS keyboard.

Pros: Low profile keys, plenty of hotkeys, quiet when typing.
Cons: I've found that the multimedia keys only really work with WMP, and only on a rare occasion with Winamp. I should have been expecting this, but it would make more sense if the keys didn't work at all with Winamp. Instead, they only work for a few presses, then stop. Randomly, they'll begin working again later.

If you're looking for a keyboard with good multimedia features however (and you use a media player other than WMP), look for a brand that might be less biased.

Pros: It has nice low-profile keys (if you like that sort of thing). The construction feels pretty solid and it has all of the media keys you could want.
Cons: The Play/Pause, Stop, FWD, and RWD media keys have a delay of about 10 seconds. So if you, for example, press FWD and then try to press Play/Pause, Stop, FWD or RWD, they won't respond until after the ~10 seconds. This does not affect the volume control keys. This is obviously a software issue and there may be a work around, but it isn't in the software provided.

I don't like laptop keyboards, but I like this one. These keys have more play than laptop keys. One reviewer said that the edges are sharp. They kind-of are, but not enough that I could see myself ever being cut by them. I'd really have to try.
