I purchased this for a K6-3 400MHz CPU. The heatsink is the best part of it, as it allows you to use a 60mm fan on a Socket 7 system. Most socket 7 heatsinks use a 50mm fan, and those are almost impossible to find now. The larger fans are also quieter, more effective, and likely more reliable. There s plenty of reason to upgrade the fan size on socket 7 systems, even though the traditional 50mm size might work.
