Pros: Uh - Works with our system. Deployed and functions at client's site without a hitch. Ordering another 10.
Cons: Sadly, our system has a serial component.
Pricy, but it's worth it not to worry about compatibility.

Pros: Arrived a day early, some of the best shipping ive seen. Installed drivers first as stated in the installation guide, pluged it in found all it need was ready to rock. all in all great product, works as stated, great shipping time.
Cons: the pegs for the fasteners, i can see the use of them but they were in the way for my use, and have to remove the pegs from the serial device.

Pros: This works great with my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.3 to console into Cisco equipment.
Installed the PL2303 USB to serial drivers on the disk provided or you can get the most up-to-date one at the SourceForge.net PL2303 site.
Hook a Cisco console cable to the adaptor and plugged it into your Cisco switch/router.
Once the driver is installed just open terminal and type "ls /dev/tty*" this will list the usb serial adaptor. Mine showed up as "/dev/tty.PL2303-0000101D". Then type "screen /dev/tty.PL2303-0000101D 9600" and voil? there's your Cisco console solution for Mac. Typing "CTL-A" then "CTL-\" will exit you back out to the terminal prompt.
    No additional software necessary. :)
Cons: The plastic molding feels a little cheap compared to my other Tripp-Lite USB serial adaptor.

Pros: Was easy to install. Seamlessly showed up as a com port
Cons: Didn't work with the software I needed it for (Heavy Weather Pro). I'm not sure if it was a driver issue on Windows 7 or just a driver issue. The device would start to communicate but then bomb out. I don't have any other serial devices to test it on, so this review is limited to one piece of software. It did seem to work better under windows XP, however but was still not reliable

None I'm using a shareware program called ZTerm to talk through it but it just shows up as a character device so you ought to be able to use it with anything.

Pros: I needed this to connect to my ALIX-based embedded firewall. It works without a driver on my linux (Debian) system except to figure out the serial line I had to run $ 'dmesg | grep tty' and it shows up as ttyUSB0. Set this in your serial client connection software. I tested it with minicom and Putty which should be in the packages for your distro. Debian makes liveCDs if you don't have a *nix box.

TU-S9 works fine so far (2 days) with it. I guess the other Prolific adapters should work also...

Pros: Works, Feel and look are ok, has good strain relief a thicker than my mouse cable, supports newest MS OS (if you're using it) and the color is innocuous enough.
Cons: I dual boot, it installed in Vista no issues with driver software. XP on the other hand required I download from the OEM software to get it to work, what was on the CD didn't and or failed to install the drivers needed in XP, at least for me. What I got from the OEM site work great no more hassles.

Cons: Did not come with a driver CD. Oh well, that is why I have high speed internet. You can go to this url to grab the drivers: http://www.trendnet.com/asp/download_manager/list_subcategory.asp?SUBTYPE_ID=571&SUBMIT=Go
I highly suggest putting the drivers on a thumb drive.

Pros: Linux support, low price, works well. Built-in USB cable is long. I haven't had any reliability problems with it.
Cons: The USB cable is not detachable. The long USB cable isn't usually necessary if you are connecting it to a serial cable.
