Simple 1,2,3 setup, that brought a REALLY nice performance increase to my home network.Cons: None! This is an inexpensive, nicely built little unit that simply works as advertised.
Simple 1,2,3 setup, that brought a REALLY nice performance increase to my home network. None! I have this switch connected to a D-Link DGL-4100 gigabit router. Tho its only providing connections for four devices, The performance increase is notable, especially for LAN operations. (DVD streaming w/o the need to transcode.)I highly recommend this switch.
This is the switch the Oracle prophesied!Cons: NoneI have used a dozen different switches prior to this one that ranged from zero to maybe 3.5 eggs.

Gigabit ethernet
Quick and easy setup
Converts cable type (regular or patch)Cons: The smallest gripe here: The direction of the ethernet connectors is such that the locking tab on the cable must face the back of the unit. I prefer the tab facing the front for ease of unplugging.Low power consumption
Gigabit ethernet
Quick and easy setup
Converts cable type (regular or patch) The smallest gripe here: The direction of the ethernet connectors is such that the locking tab on the cable must face the back of the unit. I prefer the tab facing the front for ease of unplugging. For some reason I had 3x as many patch cables as regular cables. Now they can be put to use!
Great switch for price.Cons: noneJumbo frame support, full duplex gig, plenty of bandwidth for several concurrent video streams.
Great switch for price. none Wasn't sure if I would like the new case design, but since I wall mount it anyway this is not an issue. One port that I had working with gig on another switch is now auto-neg for 100mb for some reason, but this may be a cable issue and I haven't had time to troubleshoot it yet, so may not be fault of the switch. It is fairly simple to make a wall mount template, so won't gripe about it not being supplied. Just take a piece of paper lay it flat across the back of the unit, and press it into the mounting holes to get the outlines. then mark a center dot for each screw on the paper, tape it on the wall and run your screws through the dots. Pull off the paper, and you have perfectly alligned wall mount.
