Does anyone have an answer?Question: Does this memory play nice with older systems and slower DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) memory installed on the same laptop? Apparently "a lot of PC2-6400 memory has an SPD (Serial Presence Detect) chip that knows only its rated speed - and nothing slower... a PC2-6400 module on a name-brand system which supports only up to PC2-5300 memory will not even POST" (excerpted from club cdfr eaks - /f7/upgrading-ram-256081/). Does this memory include a SPD-programmed speed of 667? I need to know before making the purchase. If the above issue reveals an incompatibility with my system and/or other installed memory, then it will not work.
