Pros: All I know is that I only have 1 case-fan connector on my motherboard. However, I have 2 fans. So I bought this and now I have 1 case-fan connector powering 2 different fans.I don't know what kind of an effect it has on speed or power. All I know is that it works. Both fans seem to be operating fine.Cons: I don't know if I'm going to pass math this semester. Pros: Having no hard cover around the pins allows you to connect those uncommon 4-pin fans (such as a CPU fan) without having to physically modify the adapter.Cons: Bare pins are more easily shorted out. But I will be soon.Note: Be sure to clip the yellow wire of ONE of the plugs if you plan to let the motherboard control fan speed. Otherwise you have 2 conflicting speed signals coming from both fans.

There are other items currently with a complete housing around the pins.
