Pros: Easy to hook up. Cables included
Cons: After several days, the USB on 2 computers quit working. 'Exceeded bandwidth' error message. Hub would work fine if I would reboot the computers.... However, it has happened 5 times today on my server, and this just won't work. Can't be rebooting my server all the time.

Price, comes with cables. Initially worked with the mac mini but not with 2 of 3 linux PCs. When the mac went to sleep or you switch connections you could never get re-connected. It replaced a failing Belkin KVM (bad select button); the Belkin worked transparently with all 4 PCs. Bought the new Belkin; it costs more the StarTech but it works fine.

Pros: Nice size KVM. It's not too big but it's not so tiny that it would get lost. I really like the Hotkey switching (CTRL-ALT 1-2-3-4). I also like that it will switch my speakers and mic. Excellent value compared to other 4 port KVMs. Supports a USB mouse and a USB keyboard only and comes with all the needed cables. I tried it with Linux and it worked just fine.
Cons: When switching between computers, there is a 5 second delay for when the keyboard becomes "live" but this is pretty much the case with all of them. I don't like that the hotkey switching is software based. Most of them have this but it's to be expected for the price... it's not enough to bring it down a star for me.

It's just like the StarTech SV211KUSB 2 Port Mini USB KVM but it has 4 ports instead of 2.
