No directions or information was included. I had a Roswell HDMI cable going from my xbox to my tv, then this optical cable going from my TV to my reciever, and i ran into a problem. NOTE: MOST NEWER TVs DO NOT OUTPUT 5.1 (SURROUND) THROUGH THE OPTICAL OUT ON THE TV. You still get sound but not in dolby digital like you should.

Pros: I paid for superfast shipping b/c I needed other items in the order asap, and even after factoring that in, the cable was less expensive than one from a local chain in town. The cable is nice and flexible and feels decently made for an outstanding price. It fits in my optical digital sockets solidly. I really can't complain. It does the job I needed done. My receiver, on the other hand... Needs to learn a thing or two about turning off its optical digital relay during the brief moment between switching channels on my TV.Cons: Doesn't include mini Toslink adapters. Surround sound took my ability to sneak around to the next level. ;)

This was my first optical cable, and it took me 1/2 day to figure out that I needed to take the tiny protective caps off of each end. After that, works like a charm!

Toslink cable that works just like it is made to. My only problem is that I bought this cable for the little extra length over the standard 6ft. cables. It states that it is a 6.56 ft. cable but I received a 6 ft. cable.

Bought two of them. Plugged one into cable box lt;- gt;receiver and the other DVD lt;- gt;receiver. The sound is great from both.

Pros: great cord, cheap.Cons: nonegreat cord, cheap. none I did the same thing as the other guy, that dang cap got me too <_< but i figuired it out quickly. the cable is perfectly fine, their is no need for a monster cable, at the amount of data these fiber optics can pump out, you don't need to worry about bottle necks, especially when your not even using 1\1000 of the accrual data transfer rates of these data lines with an audio set up.
