2.) The single best quality available on the market for double layer discsCons: $2.00 - $2.50 on average for the best double layer discs. $0.35 - $0.40 for the best single layer discs. Anyone smell price fixing on the upper end there? There are only two 'pros' worth mentioning regarding any optical media, and this kind has both:1.) Burns fast

Anyone smell price fixing on the upper end there? Verbatim dual layer discs consistently get the best reviews and when they are formally tested for quality, they come out as the best there too. Speaking from experience, if you go for lower quality, the discs will be unusable in 2 years or less. I still have Verbatims that scan almost flawlessly in my testing hardware more than 4 years after they had data burned onto them. Taiyo Yuden makes the best DVD+R discs, and Verbatim definitely makes the best quality double layer discs. Google CD F reaks and you will find a lot more info there on this subject.
