Works right out of the box and set up in 5 minutes. Keyboard and mouse plugins are USB so it doesn't matter what USB ports you plug them into on your computer. There is a single button for switching between the two available inputs which is on a really long cable connecting to the actual device. I plugged in the single receiver into the keyboard port and both computers recognized it right away.Cons: The cable length is a bit shorter than the IOGear MiniView?
