Cons: I purchased a few of these for sale to my customers. I was trying one out on my laptop (and only my laptop), left the room, and when I came back, the laptop was in sleep mode. For some reason, the power strip shut off, never to come back on again. Luckily, nothing was damaged. There was a somewhat bad smell coming from it though.

Well, with the price of shipping this thing for replacement + the time to do it, it's not worth RMAing. I'll just stay away from these in the future!

Good product at a good price. Free shipping sealed the deal. None. Have suffered through a few brown outs and the occasional thunderstorm caused black out/surge. Giving it 5 stars for that, although a direct lightning strike would probably be the ultimate test.
Had a bunch of surges last month for a few days while the power crews were patching things up from a blizzard. Still going strong.

Pros: The low-profile design is excellent for fitting the unit into smaller spaces and just generally reducing the visual impact (I set up a lot of computers in people's living areas). The sockets are well spaced and oriented so that most AC-adapter units hang off the side and thus don't block the other sockets. Phone and coax ports are out of the way of power cables.
Cons: The plastic cable-management guide at the end can get in the way, especially if you're plugging and unplugging frequently. On the other hand, it pops right out if you don't want it, so not an issue.

I know there are better-rated professional-grade surge protectors out there, but I've used Belkin for years and never had anything fry that was connected to one. This is an excellent consumer-grade surge protector!

I would recommend this product to anyone seeking a well built surge protector. The spacing between the outlets is ideal for hooking up any type of cord and works well with all of the computers in my house. Pros: Actually, the only way to tell if this is a great product is for it to take a huge voltage spike and not have any of the electronics attached to it be damaged. So basically, I am trusting that it will take the full surge of 3800 or so Joules of energy without passing any of it on to my equipment. I obviously will not try to test it out with a spike myself. Why take chances! Generally I do trust the Belkin brand and that is why I bought it.
    Cons: None.
