Pros: This wrist pad does it's job of stopping wrist pain while typing. All that needs to be said here is simply amazing!! I have a wrist problem that even used to require i get steroid shot's in the wrist and it even allows me to type for longer periods of time now. :)
Cons: The wrist peice could be slightly higher. But it still works great, I think it is just because as of now I do not have a true computer chair. Once I have one of those perhaps I will sit down lower and this won't be so much of a concern.

I had the same mouse pad by Belkin for years, and it was great! Actually, if you read my review of mid August 2010 you'll see that I simply passed my old one on to my aunt figuring this new one would last indefinitely, as well. It's not quite 6 months since I started using the new pad, and the fabric has separated from the gel wrist support underneath = bunching, crimping and general discomfort using it now. Also, the gel support itself has developed a significant indentation in the center which never happened with my first one. I'm really surprised and puzzled by all this, quite disappointed and not sure what to do to resolve this issue.

May 25, 2010 pad review says:
Pros: Has more support then a pad with no support.
Cons: It does not seem like gel, as gel would 'bounce' back after applying pressure, like a previous gel pad I had( not same company). This one keeps the indentation from me resting my wrist as well as it has become hard and not flexible after using a few days.

This one keeps the indentation from me resting my wrist as well as it has become hard and not flexible after using a few days. Not sure it is worth it. Better then my pad that did not have any support but not as good if it acted like a gel pad.
It also arrived with an air bubble under the 'gel' part that after a couple of days went away. It might have been due to pad coming from a lower altitude and it went away after a couple of days I guess it got pushed out from my wrist pressure.

Cons: I have used the Belkin WaveRest gel mousepad exclusively for the past 7-8 years. They would always get so worn out but were always comfortable with an all gel wrist pad. I would replace each one with a new one. The last one I had though? I noticed the wrist pad got flat quickly. So I used a knife and opened it. There is gel but it is on top of a cheap foam pad now. So the wrist pad isn't even all gel anymore. I couldn't believe how cheap Belkin has gotten. I will never get another. What a shame.

Pros: Wrist rest is comfy. Works if you have a ball mouse or laser mouse.
Cons: Doesn't track properly with the Evoluent mouse that it comes as a combo with. I had to cut the wrist rest off and dispose of the actual pad just so that my mouse would be usable. Works fine with my laser mouse but not with an LED like the Evoluent.

Pros: It's good strain relief on the wrist, just the right height for me and the pad area is just the right size.
Cons: It wasn't long before the fabric material started to come off the pad in the area I mouse in the most, and made a "bubble". I ended up fixing it by re-gluing it with rubber cement and now it's lasted a few years.

Pros: Excellent Wrist support. Comfortable. Stopped wrist pain. Works well with trackball.
Cons: Fabric cover came off after 18 months. This pad is on my home computer which only gets used about 10 hours per week and the thing fell apart. It is now not usable because of the adhesive underneath the fabric. The item wasn't expensive and I know we live in a disposable world, but it still shouldn't fall apart after 18 months.

Pros: grrr, its flat... the middle section of the gel is flat
sum1 was probably sqeezing it and tore off the middle of the gel...
because the side was opened and i can see the white gel torn at the middle
Cons: mousepad has this really strong odor... a chemical odor. I thought it was just a "new" smell, but days later, it's still strong enough so that I actually get lung irritation. I've put the mousepad aside in hopes that it fades eventually.

Pros: I have had my Belikin gel padded mouse pad for about ~3 years or so. It is the best padded mouse pad I have ever use and I have gone through 5-7 of them.
Mine still works just fine. The gel pocket has not split open, and the padding has not worn off. I brush any dust / junk off of it ever day (several times) so it is probably in better shape that it would otherwise be. I noticed no difference between optical, laser, and the traditional ball mice. All work just fine.
I just got a new job and will be ordering the same mouse pad for work as what I use at home.
Cons: not stiff enough to use on your lap, must use on a hard surface.

I've had this mousepad for 2 years now.
As time progresses, the surface of the wrist rest begins to harden, causing friction with wrist movement. I think that, over time, the persperation and oils of your skin are absorbed by the covering fabric, resulting in this unfortunate side effect. :(
