Canon BP-970G Camcorder Battery (0972B002)

Aside from forgetting to charge this the night before my shoot when I first bought it and panicking as I looked at my battery level dropping and it still wasn't done charging, this battery is perfect. I keep this one on the camera and use the 950 as the back-up.i could shoot all day and not run out of juice.

Pretty much a solid battery. can be a little sticky when getting it in and out of my on-camera monitor, but that's more the battery mount than anything.

Great battery, reliable and balances my Canon XM2 (or GL2 for you in America|) perfectly as I have the optional wide lens adaptor on the front (also purchased from B & H). If you need a decent battery, as I did, with this product you can't go wrong

The stock battery in most pro camcorders is generally a last resort one but in my XF300 gives 4 hours of time. I wanted bigger capacity anyway and couldn't swing for the big battery made specifically for the XF. This battery is a LOT less expensive and doesn't give time remaining info but I ran it on a stopwatch to 7 hours! Incredible! I bought 2!

When shooting a commercial the longer life means not having to plug in. That means one less wire to trip over. I did product shoots for almost five hours and still had over half of the battery power left.

Battery out-performs stock battery by almost triple. Great value at the price B&H offers. Don't notice a big difference in weight using this battery, if anything it balances the XH-A1 better as the heavy lens usually weighs it forward. I use it as primary battery now, manufacturer original is the new backup.

Thanks to Canon for designing this battery common for GL2 and XHA1! One full charge give me over 3 hours of outdoor video shoot! A must have for outdoor power!

Charges quick, and as long as you turn the camera off during down time, it has lasted all day long on several 8 hour shoots!

I purchased this battery as a backup battery & ended up making it the primary, due to it's long lasting attributes. I can shoot an 8 hour wedding without incident.

I have used the small Canons, the big Canons, the small Cheap brand and the big Cheap brand. This battery will last longer than the bigger ones on a shoot, and will last longer in its lifetime. You get what you pay for.
