Pros: I've owned this unit for over three years -- long enough to be thinking about replacing its batteries. The bottomline is it works in an area with unreliable grid power. The voltage boost is great as my window AC is also on this circuit. Dual computer is also a plus.
Cons: Not full sinewave, but CyberPower has a newer unit with that too. When I replace this unit, I'll purchase that one.

Pros: Reasonable cost however you get what you pay for
Cons: Unit worked until we experience an outage and a spike which destroyed equipment that was supposed to be protected by the UPS System. We have two servers running on two seperate Cyberpower units putting minimal load on the UPS. Both FAILED. Tech support and claims were no help. Scratched their heads and offered no assistance other than equipment replacement. Worked until we needed it then it was junk.

Pros: When it works, it works good. Powers three servers and only 50% load indicated
Cons: During t-storms (in FL), the utility service has a tendency to 'flicker' - where it's not completely out, but not at full 120V either. When the power drops off instantly, the UPS works great. But during the flickering, the batteries don't kick in fast enough, and PC's all turn off.

When the power drops off instantly, the UPS works great. But during the flickering, the batteries don't kick in fast enough, and PC's all turn off. I contacted CyberPower asking if there was a way to increase the switching sensitivity, so the batteries would kick in immediately, and here is their comment:
"There isn't a way to adjust the sensitivity. Flickers can be a problem because the ups is in the process of switching to battery when the flickers. If this is a persistent power condition the best solution is to switch to an online type UPS that has no switchover time when a power loss occurs. The OL models we make are online type. "
I caution anyone who wants to use this unit for 'brown outs' or flickering power... DO NOT GET THIS UNIT. IT WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR LOAD FROM FLICKERING POWER.
I thought all UPS' protect the load in real-time, but apparently not. I think this is a rip...

Now I use it to power my double duce Opteron gaming system and NEC FE2111sb monitor. I've even connected my cordless phone. With the somewhat frequent power outages, she's never missed a lick.
Cons: The RJ-11/RJ45 connections didn't work out of the box. No big deal for me, though.

Pros: This unit has worked well for over a year. I hooked it the serial port to the serial port to the system serial port. I down loaded the linux driver rpm file and as root did rpm -ivh .rpm. The installer found the serial port, setup the supply and inserted the required startup and shutdown scripts. Totally painless. When the power goes off, the unit backups (as expected) and sends a message stating that it's in action and will shutdown the system in some time period (which you choose). The command "upsm test" can be used to test the supply. The upsm system management command is located at /usr/sbin/upsm. You can get information about the device, test it, get logs and status. I have used several ups systems (mostly apc and exide). This one is IMO, the best one I've had. The hot swap battery capability (using standard batteries BTW) is really a plus.
Cons: For linux there is no simple way to alert several systems to shutdown (it can be done but it is not quite a noob task). It is not absolutely silent (especially when during a blackout it groans and rattles a bit). But it is also operating about 900 watts of load so that is to me, excusable.

Relatively low profile. Works with NUT, using the "cyberpower" driver on Linux and properly reports voltage, battery, and load levels. It's not the most attractive UPS in the whole world. I've been using this for about 8 months to keep our main development server and network switches up during power failures and it works pretty well. I don't have any complaint.

The reason it's so cheap is because it uses modified sine inverters instead of pure sine, the pure sine model costs a bit more (the PR1500) but is probably not worth it if you are just using computers on it, they'll run off pretty much anything. Just don't try to run your power drill off the thing and there won't be a problem.

Pros: I first bought two of these for my company a couple of years back. I was more accustomed to APC, and was wary of CyberPOwer, but the price/features seemed hard to resist. Well, that was a good decision to go with CyberPower. We had a power outage a few days after I installed these, and the two basic desktops with LCD monitors lasted for 3.5 hours, one on each UPS. They'd last more, but the power was back on. I've since bought about 50 of these, for my company, myself, my clients, and all performed flawlessly.
It can be put on a rack without back support (I saw that in one of the postings here). I have several of them on racks.
I highly recommend this UPS to anyone. This is one piece of hardware that performs better than promised, and you know how rare that is today.
Cons: None that I could find. The weight, well, I'd rather have that and long battery life than something lightweight which doesn't last. After all, the batteries are lead acid, they ARE heavy. So the heavier the better :)
I first bought two of these for my company a couple of years back. I've since bought about 50 of these, for my company, myself, my clients, and all

Pros: Came fully charged, fired right up. Can shutdown two computers. Runs two servers and a 17" monitor with almost 60 mins of reserve time.
Cons: Software comes on a floppy instead of a CD. Secondary PC software not able to minimize to tray.

Great product and much better value then equivalent APC or Tripplite UPS. Bundled software provides a intuitive user interface to manage the UPS.

Pros: Easy to install, provides over 2 hours of backup time for my dual CPU server. Next week after it was installed, we had a big tunderstorm and the power was off for 1 hour, no impact to the server
Cons: None so far, but this baby is heavy

Pros: This thing is absolutely amazing. Solid performance, and with two complete computer systems hooked to it it only shows 1/4-2/4 load on it. (19''and 17'' monitor both crt) Has saved my rear many of times. Love its ability to stand vertical!
Cons: Nothing at all. Just a little bit heavier than a pallet of concrete blocks. :)

Smells like new Antec power supplies! Will be using this with a few dual-core dual opteron blade servers, cant wait to see how it does!

Pros: Solid Power for 50 minutes when running a 35% load (two computers and two monitors)
Second monitoring port is really cool for managing 2nd computer.
Cons: It's heavier than an anchor and helps keep my room warm.

Pros: I have five of these units that are used in professional video production racks that get moved all of the time. The oldest is now about 3 years old. I have yet to max them out, and have had no problems yet, even with the batteries. They have saved my rear many times!
    Cons: None

Having used more expensive UPS to power my 6 servers (2 dual xeon, 4 p4 servers) at work was adding up. The batteries cost more than this unit by themselves.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered two of thise. Originally I was going to only power one server with each UPS, however I quickly found out that I can power all six servers with just these two battery backups with more than 15 minutes to safely shutdown the case of a power outage.
    I love this product!

This unit is sweet! Has 6 outlets on the back and looks awesome. It sits on my desk under my monitor (not sure if that is a helathy idea or not---EMF and all). No problems yet... I guess if I have a problem, I will be the last to know. I have not hooked up the auto-shutdown option thinga-ma-jig... I have yet to know anyone to do it with any UPS, so I am not sure about how the stuff really works. Anyhow, I like stuff that is shiny (aka, if it looks cool, you have my attention) and then if it works, you got me sold and this had me at "Hello"!!! Recomend to anyone serious about protecting their investment.

This is a great unit. Attached to a server running 6 hard drives, a tape drive, AMD Athlon processor a flatscreen monitor and an external hard drive, this guy shows only 1/5 load being used.
Cooling fan in the unit starts up when the battery is activated. I didn't install the software but I expect more than an hour of battery backup for my server based on the load.
Unit is extremely heavy and small for such a powerful UPS.
