Pros: Easy to set up. Plug and play. Lots of capacity for what I needed, just a home network with 8 connections. And if I need more there is plenty of growth space.
Cons: This is a replacement of the first one that failed after 4 years. That seemed an life expectancy to me, so I bought another one. It was only about $60.

Pros: What can I say, it just works, There is about 12 different devices connected to it gobbling up bandwidth and we still have a nice solid network. Part of this is probably due to using smoothwall as our router. but this is indeed a fantastic switch.
Cons: none, and I have had this switch for over 2 years.

Pros: I just got this and hooked it up, I replaces the tired little 5 port linksys I had.
This has a real AC port and an internal power supply. No wall wart needed. Just a standard power cable.
It's rack mountable, and while I am not using it in a rack. I am using the supplied metal rack mount horns to hang it from a ceiling rafter in my basement. I just attached the horns 90 degrees off facing up with the supplied screws, and drilled some wood screws in to hold it up. Looks really slick.
Auto MDI rocks, no more uplink port.
Cons: None yet, and hopefully none

Pros: Has LED indications for link, speed, duplex and collision (for half-duplex devices) Rack-mount with included rack ears. Sturdy metal case, internal power supply. Fanless so it's silent yet it runs cool. Auto-MDIX on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables to connect to certain devices. I run traffic through this unit 24/7 and haven't had any issues. I have two. One is mounted in my rack, the other is used as a standalone. (Rubber feet are also included) Good warranty coverage. Has enough switching fabric to handle full load with ease.
