Worked right out of the box no problems. Good quality component and cables. Cables a little short for my needs but after moving things around no problems. ATEN and IOGEAR are the same company so either DVI 2 Port KVM should be the same except for the markings.

Works just as easy as making the connections. Windows 7 - no problem. Short cut keys ( quick double tap of scroll then enter- and you switch between the two computers. You can have one set of speakers for both computers (the cables are built in). AS long as you have one connector to go from the monitor to their box ( same for keyboard and mouse) you are set. I am using DVI - and one computer is XP, the other is Win 7. I like the fact that it has it's own power supply. And if you use a master switch, you can put the power supply with that. My master switch goes to a UPS, so no worry there. Use it, you'll like it - and the one question I had was answered promptly by their tech support after a morning phone call. Couldn't ask for more.

Pros: I'm not sure if I'm allowed to write one more review after I published the first one with 4 stars. But after playing with this excellent device for a few more days I decided to accept this risk and do that even if the second review will never be published. The switch is extremely flexible, convenient and powerful. The independent KVM, Audio and USB connections are awesome and extremely useful. You can keep controling one computer working on another one just leaving the audio connected to the first one and this is great! Same for USB ports, if you need the external hard drive you can keep using it connected to the first machine and switching the KVM functionality to the second one. Same for printer. This feature is really incredible! Sometimes I start music on the first machine and completely switch to the second one doing a routine work. The combinations are limited only with the user fantazy. And you can switch all together or independently KVM, Audio and USB to any machine.
Cons: The firmware is upgradable, so hopefully a little trouble with the non-standard mice and keyboards will be fixed. Both work pretty well with or without emulation enabled, btw many settings are configurable, but all additional features of both mouse and k/b are not accessible while using the front ports. But even that is avoidable now if we switch to the rear port. Although if the rear ports are used for kb/mouse then these devices will be "unplugged" or "plugged-in" again and again while switching the KVM
