Pros: Does exactly what it's supposed to. Cords are long enough and it doesn't feel cheap.
Cons: I don't like the feel of the button and you have to wait a second or two before pressing it a second time for it to register. The latter wouldn't be an issue if the lights were on the button instead of the module itself. I like to hide stuff I don't need to mess with which means the module is out of sight behind my desk leaving only the button in sight. I forget which PC I'm on sometimes.

    Pros: Simple and effective.
Cons: Not enough isolation between computers.
Simple and effective. Not enough isolation between computers. I used mine at work to switch between my personal laptop and the company desktop. After a few months the thing just stopped working. No video from either port. I shelved the thing for a few months. Recently the company upgraded my desktop so I decided to give it another go. Violla! It started working flawlessly again....for about two months. Last night I noticed these weird scan lines scrolling across the monitor when switched to the laptop. Switching to the desktop resulted in no video. Further investigation revealed the desktop had somehow changed resolution settings beyond the capability of the monitor. This caused the monitor to flicker when switched to the laptop. Even after changing the desktop resolution these lines continued to scroll down the screen when switched to the laptop. In order to use the laptop I had to power down the desktop. Of course for 30 bucks (I paid 20) I can't complain too much but clearly I need better solution.

Pros: Priced well and so far reliable. Cords are attached so didn't have the extra cost for cables. Button has easy access for switching back and forth. The switch also looks stylish for what it is.
Cons: Wish the cords were just a little bit longer but it was easy enough moving things around.

Pros: Works as advertised. Switching between two XP boxes--almost no lag time when switching. Haven't had a single issue. Both computers boot w.o. regard to KVM selection. All the guts are under my desk--I just have the "remote" switch where I can reach it, next to my mouse. Nice reduction of clutter.
Cons: only offers single d-sub monitor connection

I don't use the audio as I prefer to have each machine independent--they both have speakers. Switch works fine w. no monitor connected. Happy, happy, happy.

    Works as advertised.
No lag in switching between my two PCLinuxOS systems.
Cables allow great placement of systems (in my opinion). None yet. I've had excellent luck with IOGEAR PS/2 KVM switches in the past; both with and without audio support. My Asus M4A785TD-V EVO has only 1 PS/2 port making a USB KVM a logical choice. The external corded selector switch is a none issue...it's small and easy to position, or even hide.
I have not tried this with any Windows OS. Using two Linux systems...works from the start.

Pros: It has the wired remote switch control so no software needed. That's the primary reason I bought this unit: to replace an older KVM.
Price: effective replacement of a similar older unit. (which I will be going back to)
Doesn't seem to have actually caused any damage to my system
Cons: does not include a USB hub in its design. it still takes 2 USB ports on both your host computers to pass through the mouse and KB.
(Seriously??? this is pretty sad, as my 3yr old unit had it)

Pros: This KVM switch works as it should. I bought this to manage 2 PC's and 1 monitor. The USB connections are snug and relayed the contact with my keyboard and mouse immediately. The monitor and keyboards switch quickly between PC's at the press of the button. The ability to run the switch to the location of your choice is a benefit. I have my connections below my desk, out of the way, and the switch runs to the top of my desk quite conveniently.
Cons: This isn't a con for this product, because it's designed for VGA inputs, but one of my PC's is DVI and the other VGA. So although I switch keyboard and mouse easy enough with this product, I still have to take the extra step and switch the monitor input on the monitor itself.
