I am using the extension cable is a commercial studio with a DSLR camera. Both myself and another photographer use it daily for our studio shooting. The cable has worked fine for me. The other photographer had one connection problem that i believe was just a result of not taping the cable connection point. So far so good. these cable take a lot of wear and tear so time will tell how much abuse they can take.

There are other cheaper USB cables but at the time I bought this, they were of USB 1.1 standard. I wanted one that was 2.0 standard so I got this one. No other cons to speak of.

I have coupled a few of these together for more mobility with the Camcorder without having to cary the heavy HDD around.
