Easy, trayless removal and insertion of dual 2.5in SATA hard drives from single 3.5in bay This 3.5in SATA hard drive hot-swap bay allows you to install two 2.5in SATA drives (SATA, SATA II, SATA III-6Gbps) in an available/unused 3.5in floppy drive bay.

Featuring a convenient ""no mounting required /easy eject"" feature (like a tape cartridge or floppy disk), the hard drive hot swap bay doesn't require that the drives be installed in a tray - making it the ideal solution for quick and easy drive removals and insertions as part of a system building process, or integration into rackmount systems or industrial environments.

    Cons: Don't let the other reviews fool you as I did. This thing is useless. Most 2.5" drives do not fit into this thing without a lot of pushing which makes the so-called hot swap feature a joke since it will not eject the drives.

I bought this for my domain controller and had planned to push the OS onto a pair of 5400RPM drives in RAID1 and make them hot swap to make swapping easier when one fails. The design of the device looks nice but the drives don't fit into the slots easily which defeats the hot swap because to get a drive out, you need to dismantle it. This company claims they have a warranty but will do nothing for me because I refuse to install it into my computer to test if it actually works or not. It would seem that the slot size for hard drives is not covered. Don't waste your money here... to prove these comments, please look for my video review which I am planning to post soon.
