I bought a new SATA DVD burner to replace an old IDE unit; I was glad to get rid of the big fat ribbon cable. This power apapter was perfect to get the power from the 4 pin Molex connector to the SATA burner.

This item works as advertized. Why shouldn t it since it s just a cable with no moving parts. The ironic thing is that when I purchased the Serial ATA (SATA) DVD burner they failed to mention it was equipped with the SATA power interface instead of the normal 4-pin interface. I have other SATA devices that have the 4-pin interface so I didn t even consider that there might be a problem. All is well however since I bought this adapter.
