The SATDOCKU3S USB 3.0 Hard Drive Docking Station delivers full, instant access to any 2.5in or 3.5in SATA (SATA, SATA II, and SATA III) hard drive (HDD) or solid state drive (SSD), without having to mount the drive in a computer or install it in an external enclosure.

Connected to the host computer through a single USB 3.0 SuperSpeed or USB 2.0 connection, the hard drive docking station provides a convenient, plug-and-play storage solution that delivers instant access to the hard drive without requiring a reboot.

    Bought this USB 3.0-to-SATA Hard Drive Dock along with the 2 Port PCI Express SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter for my SBS2003 server to replace my network connected Western Digital drives for backup. The speed of this device compared to 1Gigabit network connected drives is breathtaking. Backup used to take upwards of 12 hours or more, now runs in 45 minutes. Absolutely recommend this! The best part is I took all my network connected drives apart and used the SATA drive in this Dock.
