Now, the 2 TB limit:
The Windows XP-32 2 TB limit is per-volume. There is a limit to the total number of sectors that a MBR partition table can have. With the standard 512K sectors, that limit is about 2TB, which would be inclusive of all partitions on the drive/array. The partition table has a count of the start and end sectors of each partition, so you can not create a 2 TB partition and then have another beyond that on a larger than 2 TB drive.
The 2TB volume size is a limit of the MBR partition - not Vista , XP, NTFS, Linux, 32bit, 64bit, etc. The MBR structure only supports 4 primary partitions. Three common means of exceeding the 2 TB limit in a single volume are:
1. RAID controller that supports LBA64.
see 2 more items below under other thoughtsCons: You have to watch using a SATA Optical drive and the SATA hard disks for RAID configurations. It seems the Adaptec drivers don?t want you to have a SATA CD-ROM drive installed.Great barebones system, solid design, the chassis would withstand a nuclear strike. The C7X58 has a balance between performance and stability, and has been certified by both nVidia SLI and ATI CrossFire for dual graphics support.
Now, the 2 TB limit:
Stock PS isint too shabby either.
