Strengths:Low Cost; will pass with a low end tester ... Weaknesses:Not truly CAT6 complaint I installed 7 of the Trendnet TC-P48C6 patch panels in an office…

I bought 2 of these, they installed easily into my rack and punch down is easy. I like the cable management as well. Price per port is an excellent value.

    Pros: Cost
Cons: Have had this panel installed for 6 months and have had pins in 2 of the ports break. This occurred with no user interaction. I was not plugging or unplugging anything into/from the ports. My users just reported to me that they no longer had network connectivity and when I troubleshot the issue, it turned out to be broken pins. I have been a network admin for many years and have never seen anything like this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PATCH PANEL

Pros: Initial cost and the lack of bad reviews is what lead me to this patch panel.
Cons: Patch Panel arrived with one dead port. In the last few months, 5 additional ports have had pins break while just sitting there. Cable were not being swapped in & out. Users would complain of lost connectivity to the network and after troubleshooting the cables on both ends, suspecting a NIC, I found that after shooting the circuit, the patch panel port had a broken pin.

I hope this was just a bad lot of panels trendnet recieved. I purchased 2 of these and both have the same issues. I have a friend that bought one around the same time I did and has a couple of ports with broken pins
    as well

Cat-6 is a real hassle to work with compared to Cat-5 but it is well worth the struggle. This patch panel made it easy despite the fact it's always tricky punching down 48 connections. Use a hinged wall rack and it's great.
