Tripp Lite's 16-ft. USB Certified 2.0 active extension cable is a bus powered extension cable that can be used to increase the length of a device cable without the worry of signal loss and potential performance problems. USB limits a cable's length to 16ft. Any length above 16 feet requires the use of an active cable such as this one. This cable has a signal booster built in. The overall cable length can be extended up to 80ft by daisy chaining up to 5 of these active cables. The cable must be plugged directly into a USB port (either on the PC or a hub). Use a standard 6' 10' or 15' USB cable to reach the desired distance. Tripp Lite warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for life.

    It is 16' long, Has a braided outer sheild, and LED letting you know you are connected. It works None Yet I bought this to replace a cable that got chewed up in a chair leg. I have a run from my media PC to my recliner so I can connect my wireless keyboard and smart phone etc. This cable worked perfectly for that purpose, and is much thicker than the old one I had.

    USB cables can only go 16ft. With this device, you're able to extend the 16ft range. I total 22ft now from the computer. Works great!
