Price and shipping for these CD's was lower than other online stores. A lot of reviews of Verbatim CD's say they are better quality which is why I wanted them.…

Always used Taiyo Yuden in the past but these were too cheap to pass up. One benefit is that these are more silver colored than T-Ys are, and play in an old wearing-out boom box which refuses to play blue tinted T-Ys.

I can't make a judgment on durability. Also, I don't rate as excellent unless it significantly exceeds my expectations.

Verbatim makes a good basic product...but be careful when you order from the website...they may offer a quot;free quot; CD Stomper bundle that is actually not...it is either more expensive than the CDs, out of stock, or adds a considerable cost to the shipping.

I have used Verbatim brand media going back to the late 80 s and they have always been reliable products. These CD-Rs are no exception. For the quality, price and value, you just can t beat them.
